About Me

Hello! I’m a writer who is passionate about culture, learning and travelling. As you probably guessed, I love tea too.

I’ve been lucky to visit every Canadian Province and Territory (I’ve been to over 1,000 Canadian communities), and I’ve enjoyed tea in 20 countries including China, where I studied tea culture as part of my Master’s Degree in International and International Communications.

When not writing children’s books, I work in communications in the tourism industry, inspiring travellers from around the world to fall in love with Canada (it’s a pretty cool job). I’m a former journalist and graduate of the Simon Fraser University’s Writer’s Studio.

I’m currently studying towards my tea sommelier certification through the Tea And Herbal Association of Canada.

I live in Vancouver with my husband and three-year old son.
