Enjoying miso soup (for breakfast!) in Tokyo, Japan

About Me

Hello! I’m a tea-fuelled writer who loves exploring the world—one bite, one sip, and one story at a time.

I’ve had the amazing opportunity to visit every province and territory in Canada (over 1,000 communities!) and enjoy tea and food in more than 20 countries. Along the way, I’ve discovered how food and drink connect people, tell stories, and celebrate traditions.

My first picture book, Teatime Around the World (Greystone Kids), shares my love of tea and how it’s celebrated globally. My next book, Soup’s On Around the World, is part of the new Taste the World series. It celebrates soup by exploring the many ways this delicious dish is prepared and enjoyed around the world. Prepare to be hungry after reading these books!

When I’m not writing, I work in communications in the agricultural world. I live in Vancouver, Canada with my husband and son, and we love exploring new places—near and far—with hungry hearts and curious minds.
